East Midlands Airport Academy Training Course

NCFE LEVEL 1 CERTIFICATE EXPLORING THE AVIATION INDUSTRY

Length: 10 Days, Monday to Friday. You will need to attend an induction before the course starts. Eligibility criteria applies.

This 2-week on-site programme provides a direct route for career or study progression within the aviation industry. It will help to put unemployed or low income learners on the right path to aviation employment. The course is delivered by professional tutors provided by Nottingham College, who have the experience, knowledge and passion to ensure the programme is beneficial and enjoyable for all learners.

• The Aviation Industry

• Aviation Terminology

• Airport Locational Geography

• Customer Service in Aviation

• Team Work in the Aviation Industry

• Preparing for Entry to Employment in the Aviation Industry

• Money, Time and Temperature

• Write to Communicate

You will have the opportunity to speak to our onsite business partners who attend drop-in sessions, and you will receive free employability support including CV guidance and interviews. In addition, the Airport Academy staff work with each candidate during and after completion of the course to help match them with the right employment opportunities at the airport and to support them through the interview process.
